DOES CBS HAVE THE BALLS TO RUN THIS AD FOR THE MANCRUNCH WEBSITE?
CBS has long had a policy of refusing to run what it called "advocacy advertisements." Perhaps the most famous of the rejections came when the network declined to run a United Church of Christ ad a couple of years ago which appeared to criticize the unwelcoming attitudes of many other churches while touting their own inclusionary policies.
Recently, however, CBS announced that they had changed that policy and would now carry such "advocacy ads" and ads of a controversial nature. This revelation accompanied news that they would run an anti-abortion advertisement from the radical right-wing organization, Focus on the Family. To test CBS's newfound openness, the ManCrunch website put together the following advertisement. No word as of this writing as to whether or not CBS will accept it for major Superbowl airing.
