IML RAISES $60,000 FOR LEATHER MUSEUM

International Mr. Leather raises over $60,000 for Leather Archives & Museum

CHICAGO, IL - June 23, 2010 - The Leather Archives & Museum announces that International Mr. Leather raised over $60,000 during the Memorial Day 2010 event. Support was raised through donations made at the IML Leather Market, a Roast of IML 2009 Jeffrey Payne held at the museum, silent auctions, a raffle, a membership drive and museum store sales.

Executive Director Rick Storer said "International Mr. Leather is a major fundraising vehicle for the museum, with a total budget of approximately $250,000 nearly 25% of our support comes from this weekend." In addition to fundraising events, approximately 300 people toured the museum during the weekend and thousands saw the temporary exhibition mounted in the IML Leather Market.
